How it works
BYOB — Bring Your Own Bottle. Restaurants in Portugal that let you bring your own bottle of wine, for a corkage fee.
If you are bringing the wine
- Search the map and hover over (or tap) a restaurant to see the corkage fee, contacts and menu.
- Always call ahead: conditions may change and some restaurants limit the number of bottles or the days.
- Listings marked ✓ Confirmed by the restaurant were validated by the restaurant itself. The others come from public sources and are to be confirmed.
- Bring a wine that is not on the restaurant's list — that's the BYOB rule. Book and say you are bringing wine.
- Ideal for that special bottle — a gift or a collector's wine — for wine society dinners or producer tastings.
- A courteous gesture: offer a glass to the chef or the sommelier.
